A Model for Rural Transformation
Agrifields Foundation launched its first rural development initiative in Rellivalasa, Vizianagaram, addressing critical needs in healthcare, education, skills, farming, and sanitation. This initiative serves as a replicable model for sustainable, community-led growth.

Strengthening Agriculture
& Economic Growth
in Rellivalasa
In collaboration with the local Farmer Producer Organisation (FPO), Agrifields Foundation is enhancing agricultural productivity and financial stability.
• A leading agronomist trained farmers in cost-efficient maize and paddy cultivation, reducing input costs and pesticide overuse while improving yields.
• To ensure farmer safety, protective kits—including masks, gloves, goggles, and aprons—were distributed.
• Agrifields Foundation adopted the FPO, strengthening operations and securing direct access to major maize buyers, improving margins and income stability.
• Recognising Rellivalasa’s potential for premium sesame seed production, plans are in place to develop a high-quality brand, positioning the village as a key market player and increasing household incomes.
Ponnala —
Village Transformation Initiative

Ponnala is a small agricultural village located in Shamirpet Mandal near Hyderabad. Known for cultivating fruits and vegetables that feed Hyderabad’s urban population, the village is predominantly composed of small and marginal farmers owning 2–3 acres of land. Farming is a family effort here — men work as farm labourers or drivers, while women contribute through tailoring or running small-scale vegetable businesses.
CultivaTec, an agritech company, is committed to making agriculture profitable and sustainable for India’s rural communities. Our aim is to provide farmers with affordable access to quality agri-inputs, expert advisory, modern services like precision farming, and efficient output market linkage.
Agrifields Foundation is a not-for-profit organisation focused on improving the overall well-being of rural agricultural households. The foundation works to bridge the gaps in health, income, and access to basic services in farming communities.
Together, CultivaTec and Agrifields Foundation have launched a joint initiative to transform villages like Ponnala through an integrated rural development model.
This project includes:

Continuous farm advisory by experts and digital tools.
Supply of quality agri-inputs at reduced prices.
Support for output aggregation and market linkage.

Health Camp — The First Step
As a first step toward holistic village transformation, we prioritized health. A door-to-door campaign was conducted over three days, where trained nurses and CultivaTec staff visited every household in Ponnala. During this outreach, we conducted basic health screenings, including blood pressure and blood sugar testing, while also documenting each family’s farming and economic challenges.
This was followed by a health camp set up at the Zilla Parishad Primary School on a Sunday. Despite the day being a holiday, the response was strong — with over 180 villagers, mostly elderly, attending for a full check-up by medical professionals.
Conclusion:
The Ponnala health camp marks the beginning of a larger effort to address the multi-dimensional challenges faced by India’s rural farming communities. With a structured approach toward health, agricultural inputs, expert advisory, and output linkage, this initiative aims to not only raise farm productivity but also improve the overall quality of life in the village.
This pilot model will be expanded to more villages in the coming months, as we work to build a rural India that is healthier, more self-sufficient, and better connected to mainstream economic opportunities.

Keshavaram Health Camp
Over the past 4 days, Agrifields Foundation conducted a free health check-up camp in Keshavaram village, bringing essential medical support to the heart of the community.
Hundreds of villagers participated, including women working in the fields, elders, and youth.
We offered free screening for blood pressure, blood sugar, and weight.
Our team identified several cases of high sugar levels and thyroid concerns, and provided on-the-spot advice and referrals.
We met Rahima Begum (30) with a sugar level of 588 and ensured she got immediate care.
The response from the community was overwhelming—villagers felt seen, heard, and supported.
